Karen Fine Coburn is Chief Executive Officer of Cutter Information LLC. She has more than 25 years of experience in the information and publishing business.

In 1986, Ms. Coburn founded Cutter Information Corp., a publishing firm that specialized in journals and reports in the areas of IT/technology and environment/energy. The environment/energy division, Cutter Environment was sold to Aspen Publishers, Inc. in late 2002. In 1999, together with Ed Yourdon, Ms. Coburn launched Cutter Consortium, an IT consulting and research firm.

Cutter Consortium offers high-level advisory services and journals, consulting, mentoring, workshops, and training to help organizations worldwide leverage IT for competitive advantage. The firm has about 5,300 client companies globally, with about 46% of these located outside N. America. It is unique among analyst firms as its tagline, "Access to the Experts" emphasizes -- all of Cutter's research and writing, and all of its consulting and training, is provided exclusively by internationally recognized experts who have done, and are doing, the ground-breaking work in their respective fields.

Ms. Coburn leads Cutter's strategic positioning and growth initiatives, including building and managing alliances as well as Cutter's relationships with its +100 consultants.

Prior to starting Cutter Information Corp., Ms. Coburn worked at Cahners Publishing Company for eight years, developing Cahners' Newsletter Center and serving as its Director.

Karen holds an A.B. in Biology from Harvard University. She is a past President, Officer, and Board member of the international Newsletter and Electronic Publishers Association.
