Mark Choate Mark Choate is a consultant with Cutter Consortium's Enterprise Architecture practice. Mark is also a consultant with Quoin, Inc. He is an experienced educator, author, and business strategy consultant. Previously, he consulted to Godspeed Computing, developing a process for converting legacy SGML data into XML; published content on Palm handheld devices with a proprietary application, and published online using Apache Cocoon and Lucene.
Mark is the author of many books and articles including REALbasic Cross-platform Application Development [SAMS Publishing's Developer Series, 2005], Transformation Wrap: Content Integration and Multichannel Delivery with Cocoon [ Cutter IT Journal , Vol. 18, No. 5, 2005], Cross-Platform Publishing for the Enterprise, [Cutter Consortium, 2004], Open Source Software Growing in Newsrooms [Newspapers and Technology, 2004], and Scripting Mac OS X with Python and AppScript [Mac Developer Journal, 2004]. Mark has also ghost-written several books including Guide to Offshore Outsourcing [2005].
Mark has been Vice President/Interactive Media and Strategic Planning at the News & Observer. Currently he teaches Introduction to E-Business, and Introduction to Business at Strayer University. Mark has an MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
