E.M. Bennatan is a Senior Consultant with Cutter Consortium's Agile Software Development & Project Management Practice and a contributor to that Advisory Service. He is the author of On Time Within Budget: Software Project Management Practices and Techniques (John Wiley & Sons, 2000), now in it's third edition, and its predecessor, Software Project Management -- A Practitioner's Approach (McGraw-Hill, 1994). On Time is a popular desk reference guide for software project managers and is used widely by colleges and universities in the US and internationally. The book has been translated into French and other languages.

Mr. Bennatan spent many years at Motorola as Senior Director, developing wireless access systems and leading multinational design centers. He led teams that developed and delivered large wireless telephony systems to Hungary, India, and China. He was also responsible for program management of Motorola's High Availability Systems corporate-wide initiative. Before Motorola, Mr. Bennatan spent several years developing defense and aerospace systems in the US and overseas. He led the team that architected and developed the software for Israel's first satellite. His main areas of expertise include software project management, software project catastrophe disentanglement and resolution, introduction of orderly process into ad hoc software organizations, establishing software development organization structure, reengineering and simplification of existing software processes, and management of multinational software development.
