EA Training Program

The EA Training for Latin America is designed specifically to focus on the issues of the emerging architecture practices in Latin America, and to address integration, organization, outsourcing and COTS applications, particularly ERP and CRM.

The class will bring the students up to a base level of understanding and expertise that allows them to meet their goals and communicate effectively with management, development and operations.

A high level curriculum that we have found effective is one day of overall EA topics, ½ day each for the four main types of architecture (business, information, application, technology), and a final day to tie it all together around service oriented architecture. Of course, we are flexible to adjust the curriculum to meet the needs of each individual class.

The course is four days. Each day will be a mix of presentation and workshops.

Day 1. Understanding EA

The focus of the first day is to bring participants up to a common level of understanding about EA

Caso de Exito

Industry: Mortgage
Client Profile: National loan servicing agency
Project Focus: Architecture Review and Recommendation
.

At a major mortgage provider, Cutter evaluated the existing environment, which was based on a highly customized and modified 25-year old application, combined with a new, but unpopular, workflow-based application. Cutter provided recommendations for immediate improvements to the workflow application and task definitions, an architecture for consolidating and rationalizing the extensions to the application for the mid-term, and an architecture and transition strategy for a target SOA architecture over 3 years. Cutter worked with the IT management to begin the transition to SOA.
