Mr. Spann's consulting approach helps teams, executives and organizations focus on desired business results while simultaneously developing capacity for new and innovative solutions. He helps project managers translate their common sense approach to scheduling, budgeting and risk mitigation into more collaborative and adaptive processes. Likewise, he helps teams build the internal familiarity and comfort required to sustain incredible outcomes. In addition, Mr. Spann assists executives in developing collaborative business practices and reducing the behaviors that get in the way of their success. He also helps executives develop the business culture necessary to support agile practices and to assure the organization's strategy, project portfolio and individual tasks are all aligned with a focused business purpose.
Mr. Spann teaches Adaptive Project Management and Facilitation in Agile Environments as an adjunct MBA faculty at Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah and is a certified professional facilitator through the International Association of Facilitators.
Mr. Spann has a MS degree from Michigan State University, focused on organizational development, and a Master's in Business Administration, focused on financial management, from Westminster College, Utah. In past careers he was a district ranger in the USDA Forest Service and an MBA director at Westminster College.
